Tell me about your involvement on Jerseylicious.

OS: I am a makeup artist at the Gatsby Salon. We’re all extremely colorful characters. Jerseylicious is a really fun, comedic, drama- filled show.
TD: My role is like the villain because I kind of start the drama in the show. I like it because you get to see two sides instead of something so one-dimensional. This show is more about displaying our talents than other Jersey shows because it’s actually our job.

How did you land this role?

OS: Believe it or not, when I was around 18–20 years old I was even more over the top with the way I looked. My hair was huge and always in a poof, I wore crystal bras and like three belts at a time. Producers of the show found me three years ago and loved my look for a show they wanted to put together. And now here I am on Jerseylicious.
TD: We all had to audition to work at the Gatsby. They picked based on personality, whom they liked and whom they wanted to see on the show.

Tracy, what is your role in the salon?

I’m a hair stylist. I do cuts, colors, blowouts, highlights, updos, anything that you would normally go to a salon for.

I’ve heard, Tracy, that you’re known for your big hairstyles.

TD: I love volume. All my blowouts are very different from anyone else’s. I try to put my own spin on all of them so that when clients walk out you know that it was done by me.

What do you think about her big hairstyles, Olivia?

OS: I think her hair is definitely a bit too big. It looks like a helmet.

Tell me about this war you have going. Did it start before the show?

OS: Yes, way before the show. That’s why we’re both on it. Producers knew I had problems with her and thought it would be great for the show. She basically has just been bullying me ever since her and my ex started talking.
TD: We never liked each other. She is dating my ex-boyfriend and I was dating hers, and that brought the drama, obviously, because no one ever gets along with the ex. We never liked each other, even before the show. We’ve always run in the same circle, but we were never friends.

Have you ever gotten any hate mail?

TD: I get hate mail all the time. It’s like “Someone should beat the shit out of you” and “You should die.”

I hear you have teams in this feud, like Team Edward and Team Jacob. What do you think about that?

OS: It’s fun for fans of the show, I’m sure, but I think it’s kinda stupid. I don’t like negativity and this team thing has brought on so much more conflict and fights. Edward and Jacob are made-up characters. We’re real with real feelings and emotions.

How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

OS: I need AT LEAST an hour and a half. But even if I have that hour and a half, I still normally run late. I honestly could have a full day to get ready and I’d still be a little late.
TD: About 45 minutes. It takes me about five minutes to do my makeup and about a half hour to blow out my hair.

Where can our readers find some of your awesome outfits?

OS: The stores I always visit first at the mall are Marciano, bebe, Forever 21, Joyce Leslie, and I love Betsey Johnson. I love finding deals because I only wear outfits once. Once I’ve taken a picture in it, it’s pretty much dead to me.

What are some easy tips for great makeup looks and hairstyles?

OS: Bronzer will make you instantly look amazing and healthier looking! Also for a quick, going out exotic look, wing out your eyeliner! Just extend it past the outer part of your eye. If you’re using eye shadow, always use a primer; it will make the colors more pronounced and last longer.
TD: Everyone should have layers. There are so many ways you can approach that one hairstyle and it’s easier to work with. It’s a quicker way to style your hair.

What can we expect from this next season?

TD: There’s a whole lot of drama in these first few days and we’ve only done the first half of the first episode. Last season we had to wait until episode four or five for the drama to start picking up. This season we jump right into it and show you right away. It’s going to be a really kinky season.

What’s your one guilty pleasure?

OS: Ice cream! I pretty much eat ice cream at least five days out of the week. Ben and Jerry’s pints say that there are four servings in there. I think they’re mistaken because I finish off one of those pints in a single sitting, no problem!
TD: Chips. I have the worst sweet tooth. I’ve never eaten a cookie in my life. I don’t like the taste of chocolate but I’m big on salt, so I eat chips and dip all the time.
